The original light weight box offers some further clues – the pair of swans are pictured on the silver colored box top. The interior of the box has a compartment for each swan. One end of the box has in French: “SERVICE SALIERE. SALIERE EN VERRE EN FORME DE CYGNE & POIVERIERE AVEC CUILLIERES” The opposing end features in English: “THE SWANS SALT & PEPPER SET” and features a small yellow rose design atop the words “ROSE DESIGN” No. C5. Each swan is 3” long and 3 1/4” high and weighs in at 3.7oz.
